Oh BABY,

it's starting to feel a lot like Christmas.

I'm back. Back like cooked crack, ya'll.

You know how so many months ago, i was struggling with where i wanted to take my blog, well i came to a conclusion. I can take it anywhere i want, because it's my blog and with such a generic blog name, it doesn't have to be about one little thing. So my blog will talk about fashion, music, and photography. It will be the number one source for all things Edmonton.
I got myself a laptop finally, and now i don't have any excuses to not blog. Rejoice errrbody. It's gonna be a good time.

Writer's Block.

Blogger's Block is what it should be called. I can't seem to decide what path i want to take this blog - for one, i could take it down the strict path of just fashion, informing you all of the latest looks on the street and runways; or i could just blog about almost anything i find "cool" or just worth informing others about.
From the way it looks lately, its been a lot more of the second option but i had first envisioned a blog that was dedicated only to fashion -- street fashion.
That's what i intend it to be. I hope to be. Please bare with me. I know this blog has been looking a lot like a mixed bag of sorts, like those you get from a candy store or ardenes, but the final product will be great. Trust me. With summer fast approaching, or there lack of, i will have so much time on my hands and can finally start my street fashion blog (or something of the sort..)

Thanks to all.
Please keep checking back. I'm nothing without you all.

Good News

I'm no longer on this so-called "haitus", even though i lacked to inform you all of it.
March had been a very busy month - with the birthday and all.

This break has done me some good - i've come up with some great ideas for my blog.
As you already know, i want to dedicate this blog to everything fashion. So that's what i decided this blog be about. Everything fashion. My inspiration has come from everything - a little bit from Vice, a bit from some of my favorite blogs, and a spoonful of my own experiences - you mix it in a bag, and kaBANG, you got my blog.

I have high hopes for this blog.

We are way under construction, and i thank you for your cooperation and patience. I really appreciate it!

They Finally Did It

Of Montreal and Blik recently teamed up to create a visual representation of Of Montreal's latest album, Skeletal Lamping, in the form of graphic decals. There are two collections that can be purchased: Gemini Tactics, an art ensemble of people and buildings; the other is David Barnes collection (brother to lead singer, Kevin Barnes) which consists of striking graphics with darker hues. Both collections can be purchased at blik's website: http://www.whatisblik.com/ofmontreal.html
"The goal of the Skeletal Lamping Collection is to expand the perception of music packaging beyond traditional flat, square artwork. The album exists in seven different packaging formats: CD, LP, T-shirt, tote bag, button set, paper lantern, and wall decals. Each item in the Skeletal Lamping Collection includes both the digital album and its unique packaging of the album art.Ideally, every object you bring into your home should feel exceptional to you, otherwise, it just adds to the clutter and chaos of your life. We feel, there's no reason to produce another object that just sits on the shelf. We only want to produce objects that have functionality and can be treasured for their singularity. Objects that can transform a room, bend the mind and inform your dreams."- Kevin Barnes, of Montreal

DBAG 101

Ya'll, do you know what i is not feeling? Douchebags. Oh, don't play like that. If you're living in the 21 century and young, then you would be fully aware of these folks, but if not i've come to help a "brotha" out, and have concocted a wonderful list of the things that make a DB man.

These db men know how to have fun.

(no specific order YO)

1. spikes up hair (frosted tips is a plus)
2. wears db brands "Ed Hardy", "J.Lindeberg".. and the like
3. a frat boy
4. when out of school, he still behaves as a frat boy by doing frat boy activities
5. for fun, he enjoys making fun of the althipsters, altmusic, altshows, altclothing, and altbars
6. only dates sorority girls (see #3)
7. knows what the terms alpha, beta, meta, theta, mean..
8. on a weekly basis goes to the following bars/clubs: oil city, the ranch, iHO aka iron horse, empire, hudsons, the globe, ... etc.
9. on a weekly basis enjoys letting everyone know how much he hates the "skinny jean" and believes any man who does is "gay"
10. hates when girls wear skinny jeans
11. listens to techno/trance/top 40 hits. ONLY.
12. owns a sports car
13. if he does not own a sports car, his room is covered with sports car posters and owns a kabillion sports car magazines
14. will question you if you do not own/wear "Ed Hardy" and the like
15. lives for pub crawls
16. in high school joined the cheer team because they thought they could "get girls" or better yet, "get laid"
17. three things matter: beer, partying, and sex.
18. plays hockey or american football
19. has an extensive collection of polos in every color and preferably striped
20. has at least one photo on their facebook and/or myspace page of them shirtless
21. lastly, a real db man tans

I have often wondered whether as a child, did these future dbags know that they would someday grow up to be dbags of the world. Better yet, did their parents know that they would be the proud parents of dbags. Or is that maybe it is the parents fault.. by dressing them in future dbag attire. Is being a "douchebag" an act of peer pressure as smoking or alcoholism would be?
Do db bros have stereotypical names like Ryan, Joe, Brody, Nick, Bryan, .. etc.

What do you think about dbags or the dbag look for that matter?

You Wanna Be Startin' Something... You Better Be Starting Somethin'

I'm about to say something, ya'll: I'm a lady and i'll like to remain a lady.

You know what? Its about time this god damn city has its own Street fashion blog. I'm not talking about some obscure one where only a selective group, or lets say your friends, follow, i'm talking about the big kahuna. The blog that can affliate itself with the other big street fashion blogs of the world (street peeper, glam canyon, facehunter.. etc etc). Edmonton needs some love too, and as the capital of the province, we are ignored for our neighbouring city Calgary. Don't get me wrong, Edmonton has good things going but in comparison, it's Calgary "where the party's at". So, lets just think of it this way; by creating a blog - a fashion blog that is - Edmonton can finally get the attention it deserves.

These kids are Edmontonions.

Why hasn't anyone made a blog yet about our street fashion? Is it that we are not worthy enough to make these kinds of blogs just because its "Edmonton", and because the big cities think of us as just"plain ol' town folks". Well, my folks im about to change that. I see plenty of good candidates that can occupy my blog usage space. We need to show our fellow competing cities that we edmontionions are fashion conscience as any well damn city in the world.

So rise up, and drink, roll yourself a doobie, or whatever it is you cool kids do, and lets get this fashion blogging started!

Ya'll, do you know where i can get a good camera for inexpensive prices?
Mine broke.
.
These folks know how to dress.
